Are my documents private? Is anything uploaded?

Fully private. Your PDF is opened and edited locally in your browser using JavaScript — no file is ever sent to a server. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and keep editing.

Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?

Not directly. PDF text is stored as positioned glyphs, not editable paragraphs, so reliable in-place editing is not possible in a browser tool. Instead, cover the old text with White-out and place new text on top — it looks identical in the final file.

Does editing reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Your original pages are copied page-for-page into the output file — they are never re-rasterised or re-compressed. Text stays selectable and vector graphics stay sharp. Annotations are added as a new layer on top.

How do I sign a PDF?

Click the Sign tool, then draw your signature with mouse or finger, type your name in a script font, or upload a signature image. Click anywhere on the page to place it, then drag or resize it like any other annotation.

Can I merge several PDFs or add images?

Yes. Drop in any number of PDFs at once or use "Add files" later — every file is appended to the page list. JPG and PNG images can be added as pages too. Then download the combined document.

How do I split a PDF?

Open the Split dialog and choose: extract a range like "1-3,5", split every N pages, save each page as its own file, or extract only the pages you selected with checkboxes. Each part downloads as a separate PDF.

Does it work on password-protected PDFs?

If the file has an owner-only restriction it opens automatically. If it is encrypted with an open-password you will be asked to type it once. If the file still cannot be parsed you will see a clear message — the tool never silently fails.
